About Me
My journey as a Therapist began over 20 years ago where I initially worked as a frontline worker supporting children, youth and families in various settings all who struggled with enormous amounts of trauma. Witnessing the way trauma showed up for those that I worked for I knew that supporting with simple talk based approaches were not nearly as successful as alternative approaches that considered the individuals somatic experiences in relation to their trauma and stress. After many years of front line work I pursued a Master of Social Work with a specialization in Trauma Informed Care. Since then I have been drawn to working in spaces that allow for individuals to build deeper connections and understanding towards themselves and the world around them through approaches such Somatic Based Approaches, Breathwork, Mindfulness, IFS, EMDR (for adults and children/youth), and Trauma Sensitive Yoga.
For many people, especially those impacted by trauma, traditional talk therapy can sometimes feel ineffective. By offering alternative routes to well-being I hope to be able to work collaboratively with individuals who may feel they would benefit from a different approach. Working with people of all ages I enjoy working from a curious, collaborative space so that together with my clients we can identify and unpack the best ways to help them obtain the well-being they are looking to achieve.
